Thing # 6: Mashups and 3rd Party Sites
OK....i finally got my trading card done, but I have not worked on getting it to my blog. This definately takes a lot of time and practice. If anyone reads this and can help me move my avatar to the upper right corner of my blog page I sure would appreciate it. I am just plugging along and trying my best here. I am taking ALOT if notes in my spiral notebook which is right next to my computer. I did not realize I would have to set up so many accounts. How does a person remember all of the user names and passwords? I have just been using the same one.

I don't know if you are supposed to share information about your username and password! ;) I know what you mean though, I have "personal" and "school" accounts and I can't remember what I used for what! A spiral is a good idea for keeping up with it all though.
But it is soooooooo worth it! As for ID's and passwords I try to stick with one and change only a single word or number --- that helps me remember them better.
as far as moving your avatar...you need to go to the dashboard and click on the layout tab...then select the Page Element and select Picture...you should be able to upload your avatar from there!
OR you can go back to Yahoo and get the html code ...it will be marked and
Go into the Dashboard.
Click the Layout (used to be called template) tab.
Click on Page Element.
Select the one that says HTML...you can give it a title or not (optional).
Copy the HTML code that was on the avatar home page (probably in a box.)
Be sure and save!
Your page looks great! I know what you mean about usernames and passwords. It is hard to keep it straight. I am taking notes as well. Just try to have fun and enjoy!
I feel the same way about the username and password business. Just wait...I have now finished thing #20...you have only just begun with the username/password business. I had the same confusion with moving my avatar. I was able to move it but I don't remember how I did it.

Like you, I am having a hard time with so many usernames and passwords. I'll take lkp's suggestions for the future. Glad you're playing with us.
Keeping a spiral is a good idea. I tend to end up with lots of post-it notes laying around. I see you got your avatar moved and your trading card up.
Hi- when I click on customize on the first page of my blog after signing in, I can see the customize add/move element page. You could drag your avatar where you want it. I also have a hard time with all of the passwords, so I keep a notebook when I have lots...but they are all similar so I don't get too crazy. Keep up the great work!
